Strategic Account Director/Account Manager

The Strategic Account Director is responsible for the development and execution of the strategic management plan for one or more global strategic accounts. This includes acquisition, retention, sales process execution, account management, business development, revenue attainment and profitability. 


  • Understand a customer’s business priorities, overall technology landscape and organization to ensure use of support processes and escalation procedures to drive desired business outcomes
  • Understand and document the adoption and relevance of all licensed products or services for assigned accounts; ensure internal stakeholders are aware of any limitations to adoption or risks to renewal
  • Generate new opportunities within assigned accounts
  • Maintain a pipeline of qualified, active upsell and renewal opportunities, managing them to closure.
  • Develop, document and gain agreement on global account sales strategy
  • Attain revenue and profit targets as set by the sales organization 
  • Orchestrate internal and external resources throughout the customer lifecycle to ensure customer is maximizing value of SessionM investment
  • Collaborate with marketing and services teams on an organization-wide account management plan and oversee its execution.
  • Participate in senior-level planning sessions
  • Develop executive level relationships


  • 4+ years of relevant client-side experience, including maintaining a pipeline of upsell/renewal opportunities and managing them to closure.
  • Understanding of the marketing technology ecosystem (specifically customer data, CRM, messaging and loyalty platforms)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handle a diverse workload, and meet aggressive deadlines
  • Strong oral presentation skills and ability to assist in presentation development
  • Comfortable working with data analysts and providing actionable insights and recommendations
  • Must be confident and possess solid communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
  • Team player who identifies closely with, and is passionately committed to, the achievement of the Company’s overall mission
  • Ability to deliver solutions vs. issues to management and clients
  • Cross functional player who is comfortable talking to topics related to marketing (both traditional and digital) data, strategy, CRM, customer care and ops
