SessionM is searching for a Director, Talent Acquisition to build our in-house talent acquisition function and identify top talent to join our growing organization. In this newly developed role, you will create and implement a world class approach to attracting, evaluating, and hiring top talent aligned with the needs of a competitive, modern high-tech company. Reporting to the Sr. Director, People & Culture this hands-on, highly visible role will create and foster an environment that contributes to attracting top-tier applicants, delivers an amazing candidate experience, and proactively develops a pipeline of diverse high-performing talent to expand our workforce. Our ideal candidate has extensive direct sourcing and recruiting experience globally within a rapidly expanding, technology-centric company, across various functions and has an in-depth understanding of how to creatively find and attract great talent – both from a tactical as well as strategic perspective. 

Key Responsibilities

  • In partnership with the Sr. Director, People & Culture and business leaders, the successful candidate will be responsible for building and implementing the talent acquisition process
  • Execute against the current hiring plan by scoping and posting roles, partnering with hiring managers, sourcing candidates, and driving candidates through the recruitment process
  • Conduct detailed phone and video screens with prospective candidates to understand their background, skill set, and value to the organization
  • Effectively managing multiple and diverse applicant pipelines in various locations, including setting priorities and driving the interview process
  • Create and foster an exceptional candidate experience that informs and sells candidate on the value and opportunity to join SessionM
  • Manage our Applicant Tracking System; this includes setting the interview plan, monitoring interviewer feedback, initiating the offer process, etc.
  • Collect, measure and communicate key recruiting metrics to senior management
  • Build a diverse talent pipeline that taps into targeted universities, companies, regions and technical communities through sourcing, discovery conversations, events and networking


  • 10+ years of recruiting experience, with ideally 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Prior experience recruiting technical talent in a complex, highly competitive environment
  • Experience recruiting across a number of different functions globally
  • Enjoys and thrives in a rapidly evolving, fast-paced environment
  • Strong sense of urgency and drive to find the best talent for our roles
  • Expertise with leveraging technology for business optimization and energy for innovation and process improvement
  • An understanding of modern, tech-driven recruiting technologies and methods
  • Ability to drive results through influence and relationships, and be a valuable advisor to the business
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with concern for quality
  • Capacity to handle multiple priorities and ability to operate at consistent, high levels of speed
  • The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and maturity
